TEEN BOXING CLASSES IN UPLAND, CA

SELF-DEFENSE • CONFIDENCE • DISCIPLINE • PRIDE

HELP YOUR TEEN BECOME STRONGER, MORE CONFIDENT,
AND PROUD OF THEMSELVES

Warzone Boxing Club’s Teen Boxing Program in Upland is designed for boys and girls ages 13–17 who want to learn real boxing, improve their fitness, develop practical self-defense skills, and build confidence in themselves.

Not every teenager wants to become a competitive boxer — and they do not have to. Our Teen Boxing Program focuses first on proper boxing fundamentals, self-defense, discipline, conditioning, confidence, and personal development.

For teens who eventually become interested in competition, Warzone provides a separate pathway into our Amateur Competition Team. Competition is optional and requires additional commitment, conditioning, consistency, and coach approval.

For many teens, boxing provides something just as valuable as competition: a challenge they can overcome, skills they can be proud of, better physical conditioning, greater self-confidence, and the discipline that comes from learning something difficult and improving through consistent effort.

Our goal is for teenagers to leave training feeling stronger, more capable, more confident, and proud of what they are accomplishing.

REAL BOXING SKILLS FOR REAL SELF-DEFENSE

Teenagers learn actual boxing fundamentals rather than simply hitting bags for exercise.

Training may include:

  • Proper boxing stance and balance

  • Footwork and movement

  • Punching mechanics

  • Defense and head movement

  • Distance and range control

  • How to protect themselves while under pressure

  • Bag and mitt work

  • Conditioning

  • Controlled partner drills as appropriate

Self-defense starts with awareness, confidence, movement, balance, and knowing how to protect yourself.

The objective is not to teach teenagers to look for fights. It is to give them the confidence and skills to handle themselves responsibly if they ever need to.

BUILD CONFIDENCE THROUGH ACCOMPLISHMENT

Confidence cannot simply be given to a teenager. They develop it by accomplishing things they once thought were difficult.

Learning proper footwork.

Finishing a hard round.

Improving their conditioning.

Learning how to defend themselves.

Mastering a combination they struggled with weeks earlier.

Every improvement gives them another reason to believe in themselves.

At Warzone, we want teens to understand that progress comes from effort, consistency, patience, and discipline.

That creates a confidence they have earned — and something they can genuinely be proud of.

DISCIPLINE, RESPONSIBILITY, AND PRIDE

Boxing requires teenagers to listen, follow instructions, control their emotions, work through frustration, and keep trying when something does not come easily.

Those habits can carry beyond the gym.

We want our athletes to take pride in:

  • Showing up consistently

  • Working hard

  • Improving their skills

  • Respecting coaches and teammates

  • Taking care of themselves

  • Handling challenges without quitting

  • Becoming better than they were yesterday

The goal is not simply to create better boxers.

The goal is to help develop stronger, more confident young people.

A POSITIVE PLACE FOR TEENS TO TRAIN

Teenagers need an environment where they can work hard, make mistakes, improve, and feel like they belong.

Warzone Boxing Club has been developing youth athletes since 1997.

Beginners are welcome. A teenager does not need previous boxing experience, exceptional fitness, or an interest in competition to get started.

We teach them from where they are and help them progress at an appropriate pace.

COMPETITION IS OPTIONAL

Most teenagers can participate in the Teen Boxing Program without ever competing.

For athletes who become interested in amateur boxing, however, Warzone provides a clear path to the next level.

LEARN ABOUT AMATEUR BOXING

AMATEUR COMPETITION TEAM 4:00 PM–6:00 PM

Teens who develop the necessary fundamentals, conditioning, discipline, attendance, and desire to compete may be considered for Warzone Boxing Club’s Amateur Competition Team.

This is a separate competitive program for athletes preparing for USA Boxing-sanctioned competition.

Participation requires greater commitment, physical standards, consistent attendance, and coach approval.

ELITE BOXING DEVELOPMENT WITH COACH AL FRANCO

A small percentage of experienced amateur competitors may eventually be considered for Coach Al Franco’s Elite Amateur Boxing Team.

The Elite Team is a separate Coach Al Franco program built for athletes pursuing national and international competition, Olympic-level development, and potentially professional boxing.

Homeschooling, daytime training, travel, high-level competition, and Coach Al’s approval are required.
